The Company

Austin Alexander offers high-quality fine and fashion jewelry for all occasions. The designs, inspired by the vintage works of Hobe and Weiss, incorporate classic themes into timeless modern designs.

The company, founded in 2005, promotes enduring quality and artistic design. The artist studio and jewelry making facility are located in Johnson City, Tennessee, in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.

The Artist

Did you ever see the movie "Baby Boom" starring Dianne Keaton? The artist, Candace Blom, is a real life example of what a McKinsey management consultant does when she takes a break from her career, moves to a small town, marries a handsome non-city guy and becomes a stay-at-home mom.

Candace derives the company name "Austin Alexander" from the names of her two children: Robert Austin Blom and Alexandra Ferrari Blom.

The Jewelry

Austin Alexander makes vintage-style jewelry in trend setting combinations. The collections include necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and barrettes to complement the latest fashion trends. The designs strive to maintain classic style, but incorporate a contemporary twist.

Materials used in Austin Alexander jewelry come from all over the world. The settings are hand forged from a variety of materials including white bronze, pewter and titanium. All jewelry settings are guaranteed nickel-free. Most of the stones come from Austria and the world renowned Swarovski Crystal Company. Swarovski endorsed Austin Alexander in mid-2008. Some stones used in the jewelry are vintage, and were made in Germany or Austria in the 1940's and 1950's. To add specialty splashes of color to the mix, Austin Alexander creates handmade glass stones in their Tennessee-based artist studio and jewelry making facility.

The stones are set and the jewelry is packaged and shipped from our location in Johnson City, Tennessee.
